After more than 20 years of struggle, China Packaging has achieved remarkable achievements: from the state of being basically zero before 1978, it has become an industrial system with six modern categories of paper packaging, plastic packaging, metal packaging, glass packaging, packaging materials and packaging machinery. The output value of packaging is growing at a high speed of 18% per year. There are many varieties and specifications. In 2014, the output value reached 148 billion. China has become a world packaging country. The development of the packaging industry provides abundant resources for food packaging in China. Food packaging has a qualitative leap in terms of design, materials and functions. However, at the same time of rapid development, food packaging is also facing enormous challenges. There are some problems that need to be solved urgently, such as the safety of packaging materials, insufficient design and manufacturing capabilities of high-end products, and over-packaging of products. These problems not only affect the food packaging industry. The development also directly affects the development of China's food industry.
